Daniel Foster

Co-Chair, Gathering Waters Foundation

Daniel is a founding faculty member of Gathering Waters, where he served in a variety of roles during the school’s formative years, including class teacher, Spanish teacher, jazz band leader, and interim lead administrator. A graduate of Antioch University’s Waldorf teacher education program, Daniel has more than a decade of experience teaching in Waldorf schools.

He currently serves as Youth Program Director at Camp Glen Brook in Marlborough, New Hampshire, where he integrates Waldorf pedagogy with outdoor, place-based learning.

As a Waldorf graduate himself, Daniel is deeply committed to both the educational and social missions of Waldorf schools. He believes these schools nurture not only academic excellence and artistic expression, but also critical thinking, creativity, and a strong sense of purpose. Through this integrated approach, students are empowered to understand their impact on the world and their responsibility to contribute positively to it.

Daniel hopes that graduates of Gathering Waters will go on to “create a world where it is easier to be good,” carrying forward the values of empathy, responsibility, and authentic self-expression.
